Vagabonding Images

Vagabon­ding Images ist ein Film, der viel­leicht einem Traum am nächsten ist, gedreht über mehrere Jahre und kompo­niert aus Erin­ne­rungs­bruch­s­tü­cken und Lebens­mo­menten, die sich zu einer Folge von mikro­sko­pi­schen Geschichten verweben. Vagabon­ding Images ist ein „cine­ma­to­gra­phi­scher cadavre exquis“, ein Spiel mit film­sprach­li­chen Formen, inspi­riert von den poeti­schen Montage-Techniken der fran­zö­si­schen Surrea­listen und der japa­ni­schen Haiku-Dichter.

Vagabon­ding Images is a film that perhaps comes closest to being a dream. Shot over a period of several years, it is composed of fragments of memory and moments of life woven together to create a sequence of micro­scopic stories. Vagabon­ding Images is a film of a man and a woman and at the same time a play with forms of cinematic language inspired by the poetic collage tech­ni­ques of the French Surrea­lists and Japanese Haiku poets.

Nicolas Humbert
Geboren 1958. Ab 1977 erste Super8-Filme, 1982-87 Studium an der Hoch­schule für Fernsehen und Film München. 1985 Mitbe­gründer der Filme­ma­cher-Koope­ra­tive „Der andere Blick“, 1987 der Produk­tion „Cine Nomad“. Seit 1982 Zusam­men­ar­beit in Drehbuch und Regie mit Werner Penzel.

Simone Fürbringer
Geboren 1957 in Basel. 1977-79 Theater- und Zirkus­pro­jekte, 1980-84 Lehrerin. 1987-94 Studium an der Hoch­schule für Fernsehen und Film München. Seither als freie Filme­ma­cherin tätig.
